What is a Village?
A group of people who want to continue living in their own homes as they get older with all the resources, friends and multigenerational community connections to enable them to enjoy active, healthy and safe lives.
Membership in a village provides many of the benefits of a retirement community without giving up one’s independence, home and neighborhood ties.

There are no villages in Arlington, but there are 15 in the DC metro area with several more in development. The Arlington Villages Project Team is working to establish a network of villages throughout the County. There is a considerable amount of work to be done so many volunteers are needed.
